Mrs Business learns about love!

When I was thinking about what to post on Valentine's day, self-love was definitely in my mind. Reflecting back on my journey towards self-love, I realized how my business has a big part in it. Opening a business (and keeping it opened of course) is not easy ! Like being in a romantic relationship, you definitely got to work on yourself to see your business grow and then flourish.

Lesson One : perfection doesn't exist !
If you have launched a business, you know that nothing was perfect at the beginning. The
luckiest among us can definitely say that things were close to what they had in mind but surely NOT perfect. And nobody died from it!
Remember that feeling of joy, that pride of seeing what was once an idea, come to life!
Look at where you are now and understand that perfection doesn't live space for growth. We are designed to grow! The same way your business has grown, you have too. Its imperfections made it what it is now. Same for you!
There is no way on earth you shouldn't be proud of yourself! Just doing it, you did send yourself a message : I can do whatever i can put my mind to (and i don't need to be perfect for that)!
Lesson two : there is no such thing as a perfect timing
The perfect timing is now! You've seen that quote right? My view on this is : there is no perfect time to believe in yourself and your ideas. I love Zig Ziglar's quote (I thought it was Oprah but my friend Google told me the truth lol) "Success is when preparation meets opportunity". It basically means that the good time for you is whenever! Only God knows! But when you know clearly where you are going, what you want and you prepare for it, it is assured that when the time will come, you'll experience success.
Before opening your business, depending of how you function, you can either, train or ask for advices, or jump and try it! There is NO RULE !
In any case, you'll feel when it will be time!
Lesson three : being you is your superpower
If opening a business wasn't easy the hardest part was, at least for me, to attract clients. I, at the beginning, believed that i had to send newsletters, use marketing processes that did not
look like me (but they said worked) and, of course, not be myself! What was happening is that the clients I was attracting were the "i'm gonna pay later" and never pay type ! They were basically mirroring my imposter syndrome ! Who would like to pay an imposter right ? No one !!!! As i started my journey towards self-love, i realized that i was attracting clients aware of the value I am bringing to their projet/business. They know that working with me is an investment with a huge return. They don't know it because i send tones of newsletters; they know it because I believe it, i vibe it! I know that i am giving my best to help my clients and i surely do NOT compare myself to others because the cake is big enough for everybody. I just know that my work is gonna speak to people with the same mindset, the need to go deep and to impact the community! My work doesn't speak to everybody and that's super duper ok!
Your clients are a reflection of what you think about yourself (and about your business)! The more you love yourself, the more authentic you are, the better you attract valuable clients (meaning clients that are aware of the value you are bringing to the table and are willing to pay for it, whatever it is).
Lesson four : Put yourself first
You might have seen that reading about relationship, self-care and all... I have learned that lesson the hard way : burn-out and depression! The Universe is sending you signs and they become bigger and bigger until you decide to open yourself to the teaching behing the tough time. So, me being on my couch, so down, so weak, that i was not able to make lunch for my kids was my eye opening. If i don't take care of myself (because i wanna take care of everybody else including my clients) how am i going to take care of my babies ? The first step, for me, was mental health.
My biggest discovery was that clientsare still going to be there because my connection with them has NOTHING to do with marketing. The same way i care for them, they care for me! I can not help them if i am down! So i take breaks when needed, i cut off my phone when needed, i sleep when needed. Let's be real ! They are not always happy about it ! But I am ! It helps me be a better help to them! Building a successful business doesn't have to be overwhelming.
Lesson five : There is a force bigger than me
No! I am not talking about religion! I am talking about spirituality : whether you call it God, Allah, Universe, Intuition, Karma ... I found that it is for sure the biggest connection i have in my life. This is the only connection free of judgement, expectations or pressure. This energy is just there. When you are connected to her, you receive love, unconditionnal love. There is no need to be perfect, it is home : a place where you are welcomed with open arms and where everything you ask for is already there. It is absolutely not a Santa Claus spirit, it is not a magic trick, it is real and profound. You can just go there and ask for courage when you need it, strength, compassion, forgiveness, grace, awareness, love, peace, freeedom... You name it!
And my biggest discovery is that she is not external, she is not in the clouds, she is right inside of me and she has so so much power! It is not the place or time to share more but if you don't feel that connection (yet) remember the last time you thought you couldn't and then you did... It was all her! Even simplier : remember the time you had the idea of that business where you would do what you are doing now! It's all her! She is the hardest part of yourself to love because you don't see her but she is the most powerful one!
I wrote that post with my heart full of love and gratitude, i hope you received it!
Happy Valentine's day!
Treat yourself today !
